Major Updates

As part of my attempts to attract new users to this forum, I have advertised this website on a forum, and have been given a number of ideas to improve the site. One of the ideas involved merging some of the forums, and because of this I have:
- merged 'Website Help' with 'Advertise your website'
- merged 'The interesting websites forum' with 'The YouTube forum'
- merged all of the gaming forums into one forum, which can be found in the 'Discussion Forums' section
- merged 'In the News' and 'Debate forum' with 'Miscellaneous Discussion'
It was suggested that I specialised in one particular topic to attract more users, and I have chosen the Barclays Premier League as the subject of my forum. I am aware that this may upset some users but I must point out that this forum encompasses all the features of the original website.
I have also made a number of other updates, including adding a Chatbox, a Portal and a User Gallery feature, as well as changing the skin. A points system has been set up, points can be gained as follows:
- 1 point is gained daily
- 1 point is gained for posting a message (in most forums, forum stating 'Posts do not count towards points system' do not award points for posting
- 2 points are gained for posting a topic (as above)
Please do not abuse this system by spamming as you may be banned.
I have also added a reputation system, members can vote (either positive or negative) on another member's message. Over time, if users build up a lot of positive reputation points, they may be assigned a higher rank.
I have added a number of foums dedicated to the Barclays Premier League as part of the facelift, also check out the 'Fantasy League' in the 'Fun and games' category. It will be launched soon for the 2009/10 season if there is sufficient interest.

I am sorry if I have upset any users by changing the topic of this forum from a casual chat forum to a dedicated Premier League forum, but I hope you will understand my reasoning. If membership levels increase, I will invite users to vote in a poll as to what the topic of the site should be.
